What’s your plan this summer? Like most people, you are probably looking forward to spending some time at the beach. Why not make it even more exciting and go for an island hopping adventure? When it comes to island hopping, Palawan is just the right place to go. Take your pick from the three major tourist destinations in Palawan – Puerto Princesa, El Nido and Coron. Whatever you choose, your Palawan tour will be a trip you will never regret.
Puerto Princesa Honda Bay Tour
Honda Bay is a group of small islands located just a few minutes from the city proper. From your hotel, a van will take you to St. Lourdes Wharf, where a boat is waiting for the tour. Just be sure that you have arranged this beforehand with the travel agency where you got your Palawan tour package. Each island in Honda Bay offers unique features. Pandan Island, Pambato Reef and Starfish Island are great sites for swimming and snorkeling. You’ll also find areas where you can dive.
El Nido Island Hopping Tour
A trip to El Nido wouldn’t be complete without an island hopping tour. Island hopping is one of the reasons people include El Nido as part of their Palawan tour. You can choose from different island hopping tour packages, from Tour A to Tour C. Tour A includes a trip to Miniloc Island, Simizu Island, two lagoons (Big Lagoon and Small Lagoon), and 7 Commando Beach. Tour B on the other hand will include the Snake Island, Lagen Island, Cadugnon Cave, Cathedral Cave and Pinabuyatan Island. Lastly, you have Tour C, which includes a tour to several islands, including the Hidden Beach, Secret Beach, Star Beach, Matinloc Shrine, and Helicopter Island.
Coron Island Hopping Tour
Island hopping in Coron is also something to look forward to on your Palawan tour. It will take your island hopping adventure to a whole new level. One of the places you will be able to visit for instance is the Twin Lagoon. the two lagoons are separated by a limestone wall. To get to the other lagoon, you have to pass through small opening. When it’s high tide, you may have to snorkel your way towards the other lagoon. When it’s low tide, you may be able to go kayaking through the crevice when going to the second lagoon.
